Norrie missed the Olympic Games with a forearm injury and revealed on Instagram that he has failed to recover in time to compete in New York. “I have been working hard to get my body to full health - unfortunately my forearm injury is not recovering as soon as I would have hoped,” he wrote. “Therefore I will not be able to compete in this year’s US Open. I’ll take some rest and recharge. Can’t wait to get back to competing like a dog.”
